PostHeaderIcon Decorating Your New Home with Compromise

If you have just moved into your new home with your husband, then there may be some fighting in the near future unless compromising can be achieved. Decorating a home in a way that the both of you can enjoy is always a difficult task to accomplish. But there are several ways where the two of you can work it out without thinking seriously about hitting each other. Between the entertainment centers that he wants and the fine art, closet space, and dining room that you want, it can get very catty very quickly. But the two of you can work it out if a plan is drafted beforehand.

If things do get off to a rocky start, then pause for an hour and come up with a list of things the both of you want. If they can’t all be accommodated, then start taking the things that are less important to you off of it. Maybe that bakers rack can stay, but the pink armoire doesn’t have to be in the family room. Many times compromise can go well for one person while the other person feels like they’ve been played. Do not let this happen because resentment can build up because of the home. It can be the reason couples break up so be very careful with your decision-making and enjoy your new home.

PostHeaderIcon Storage Trailers Became New Temporary Homes For Katrina Victims

After the infamous Hurrican Katrina hit New Orleans and other surrounding areas, storage trailers became very important, and trailer leasing took on an entirely new identity. Thousands of those rendered homeless by the devastating storm found themselves suddenly living in government-issued storage trailers in lieu of homes. Trailer leasing became big business in that region, as government contractors were paid to find as many fitting storage trailers as were available in order to get shelter for the many homeless families. Many families of five or more ended up living in a wooden or stainless steel storage trailer, some for up to a year or longer, following the destruction and damage caused by the storm. For those whose homes were not completely destroyed, a trailer leasing company delivered storage trailers to the property where the partially damaged home was, and the family lived inside the storage trailer while restoration work was done on the home. These storage trailers were retrofitted with plumbing, toilets, even sinks and showers in some instances. The trailer leasing companies made a great deal of money from government grants to create these custom, temporary “homes” out of storage trailers for the unfortunate victims of Hurricane Katrina.
